Tradeco Soap Industries Ltd (TSIL) was acquired by METL in 1999, and was transformed from a one production line, loss maker unit into a profitable entity within a year. Demand for its products grew rapidly and two more soap lines have subsequently been added, creating the current capacity at 2,500 mtons per month, which is fully utilised.

TSIL’s next strategic development is to enlarge capacity further and to expand its product range to include high quality toilet soaps and synthetic detergents.
